So....you'd like to do a gig at The Penguin Entertainers Club. Here's a few things you need to know when considering playing here.
The Penguin Entertainers Club is not a commercial operation... we're a musos club, and our ethos is to provide a suitable venue for performers and to promote Kiwi music.
The Penguin Entertainers Club is run purely by volunteers - and this is the protocol that we operate by...
- The Penguin Entertainers Club does not offer a guarantee
- We can provide a door person if necessary and we provide the door float
- Usual door charges are $12 for club members and $15 for non members
- The club can legaly host up to 122 people
- Doors open at 8pm, performance start time by 8.45pm and we would expect a minimum of two 50min sets
- You as the performer receive 100% of the door take less $80 for solid radio and newspaper advertising
- We will ensure that your gig is well advertised and to a target audience
- Send promo material by e-mail
- Mail a minimum of 20 A4 posters and 6 A3 posters to The Penguin Entertainers Club
- The Club does not provide accommodation but we are happy to assist you in sourcing a place to stay
- We have a good in house P.A. and can provide a competent button monkey
- There is good on stage lighting
- We would appreciate you arriving for set up and sound check by 4pm on the day of the gig
- The Club is generally booked up for 3 months ahead.
- If you would like to make the President of the Club smile.....include a rider !!!

- a picture to speed things along.
